Approaching
the year of nineteen ninety six, I was having a series of dreams
very different then some others. Through these dreams, the
picture became clear for me to paint (without abstraction),
Intersection 2000.
Where
are we going?
Looking
at the world in the middle of the intersection that splits
the canvas into three segments of blues and symbols, one
should wonder where the world is headed to. Looking to the
right of the canvas, small fires and three small crosses
represent crucifixion and the wars of the past.
On
the upper left side are peace and love. The bottom left are
a bunch of nuclear mushrooms and graves yard. In both this
painting and our world, we left with two choices,
"PEACE"
or Nuclear Mushrooms.
Nuclear Mushrooms = Destruction.
The
world is still at the intersection: where do we go, are we
going for peace or destruction?
The collective spirit of humanity needs to balance itself so
all humanity can live in peace.
