This column represents the art of civilization
throughout the wars of the centuries, invented first by Egypt,
then Greece, Europe, USA, and even in Haiti, etc. The sculpture
tells the story of war, with Napoleon marking the years of the
sword all the way up to the new high tech soldier. All the while
our good friend the baboon is madly ironizing that humans with
the gift of consciousness are behaving like apes.
On top is a world constructed of wire with it's
continents connected into one core. A German luger sits on top
to remind us of the gun that started WW2. Money from around the
world is spread throughout the sculpture. Below the column's
bolts are artists palettes, war books, and the 3 G's (God, Guns & Government)
in a triangular canvas representing the forces of our universe.
This triangle serves as a chamber, and the 3 G's God, Guns and
Government are not meant to be in that chamber together. If it
does, it will generate evil...
Then
we will be at peace.
